Job Description

 The Company

Established in 1978, Technoline Ltd is a company synonymous with the supply of hospital and scientific equipment and specialised solutions for the healthcare and industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission new equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Undertake warranty, preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
  • Collaborate with the customer to address equipment related issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintaining a sound technical knowledge, enabling a positive after-sales approach

Requirements & Skills

  • The ideal candidate should preferably have an MCAST / Fellenberg HTD diploma in industrial electronics or in biomedical engineering or a similar qualification.
  • Have strong organisational skills.
  • Capable of working both individually and as part of a team
  • Work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Be proactive and multi-tasking.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Have a positive customer service mindset.
  • Be prepared to travel overseas for training as needed.
  • Previous working experience on laboratory and biomedical equipment maintenance is considered advantageous.

Position overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in the servicing department. Reporting to the servicing manager, the candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintenance services for pharmaceutical equipment and systems at client sites.

Key responsibilities:

  • Install, qualify, and maintain pharmaceutical equipment and systems in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
  • Deliver comprehensive training to clients on the operation and maintenance of pharmaceutical equipment.

Requirements & skills:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related fields.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment, including spectroscopy and chromatography systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA guidelines and cGMP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven experience as a field service technician or experience within the pharmaceutical industry will be highly considered.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel abroad for manufacturer’s trainings as required.
