This Safety Accreditation is considered as a global benchmark for safe travel and is an acknowledgement of the effectiveness of hygiene and safety measures in place.
Airport cleaning efficiency includes evaluating cleaning systems and equipment, ratio of cleaning staff, and whether sanitisation is regularly validated using ATP testing. Terminal hygiene was an area in which MIA excelled, both in visual presentation and low microbial scores for surfaces that were ATP tested.
